Photos from October 24 & 26
In circle the children picked a Jack-O-Lantern and told us how it felt.
We danced to Dry Bones and Fly Little Bats, some of the children are beginning to join in with Mary and I and not just look at us as if we are crazy!
The children are making a special pumpkin dip for our Halloween party.
Our beautiful Jack-O-Lanterns!
Photos from October 19 — Our Visit from the Fire Truck
The fireman showed us all of the tools on the fire truck.
The wheels of the truck were almost as big as us!
They have many different places to store tools.
We got to sit in the cab of the fire truck.
Photos from Our Fourth Week of Class
Last week we made graph of our favorite colors. Pink won!
We made a Color Book. It is in our library in the color bin.
In gym today we played with soccer balls.
We went for a fall walk and gathered signs of fall. We saw lots of leaves, and nuts.
Sometimes it can be challenging getting a picture of the whole class. We should leave this to the experts :-)
This Verizon bucket truck was in our parking lot hooking up a new line for the town garage. It was very interesting watching the man work.
The Verizon man was nice enough to answer our questions.
Photos from Our Third Week of Class
We invited Mrs. Mitchell's class out for popsicles. The weather has been so lovely for the beginning of school.
It is fun playing with the shapes, this young man is making a road.
Mrs. Neubauer made jewelry with the children at the clay table.
On Fridays the children help to take care of our plants by misting them. Our plants are usually very healthy. Watch the geranium, last year it bloomed all winter.
Mrs. Higgins taught us how to wash and dry the stamps so we can use one color at a time.
Photos from Our Second Week of Class
Reinforcing the colors we have been studying the children made red and blue bracelets with Mrs. Gagliardi.
Mrs. Higgins was checking to see what shapes the children knew.
The tactile table has gone from sand to water. The children really enjoy this table, it helps them relax.
It takes a lot of concentration to create with shapes.
The children really seem to enjoy the reading center. As I told you I suffer from the heat!
Photos from Our First Week of Class
Mrs. Mitchells wrote us a letter inviting us to have popsicles on the playground.
The popsicles were red, white and blue.
It was fun meeting the kids in Mrs. Mitchell's class.
The weather this week was beautiful!
Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Gallagher wanted to read the same book at the same time. So we shared. Mrs. Mitchell's class came into our class. Mrs. Mitchell read a page, then I read a page. The book was about summer. This is our last day in school in summer, when we come back next week it will be fall.
After we went to the bathroom we sang some songs to two ladies from the church. Mrs. True and Mrs. Ham joined in singing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes!
This was a great cooperative effort! Amy had the idea of making a "path" some of the children helped her until the blocks were gone. They walked on the path, it was a little tricky. At the end Amy added wooden blocks and some of the kids used it as a "road".
