What We Did This Week

Love is in the air this week in kindergarten

In math, we started the week by learning about symmetry. The students made symmetrical hearts with paint. The hearts are hanging in the hall and they look lovely. The students also created their own heart patterns with paint.

The students have been working on sorting and counting candy hearts. The students have also been graphing this information. 

In language this week, we introduced songs to help the children remember how to spell words. We started with learning how to spell the words: I, a, is. In general, the students are really starting to write a lot in their journals.

Encourage your child to sound out words and write the sounds they hear.

What is Coming Up!

Here are the upcoming dates for our field trips.  We ask that at least one parent attend the trip to Odiorne, so save the date! This is a full day event.   We do not need chap-erones for the trip to the planetarium; however, it is an early drop off.  More information to come as the dates get closer.

Planetarium:  March 12th
Currier Art Museum: 
    May 12th
Odiorne:  May 28th
